147th New York Infantry 1862

The 147th New York infantry was raised in Oswego County New York. The early uniform consisted of dark blue infantry trousers and the New York State issue shell Jackets. The 147th would see heavy action at Gettysburg Pennsylvania in July of 1863 as part of Lysander Cutler's brigade of the First Corps; Army of the Potomac.
