President and Candidate Donald J. Trump raises his fist in the air in defiance after narrowly surviving an assassination attempt while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. President Trump is shown here surrounded by Secret Service agents as he is being ushered-off the stage with blood dripping down his face. The stunned crowd responds in solidarity, while a counter-sniper team are seen in the distance on a nearby farm building roof top. This iconic moment in history has now been immortalized in an oil painting. I normally don't paint modern historical or political subjects, but this painting was a special request commission by a very good client and friend and given the gravity of this particular historical moment, I agreed that a painting of the event was necessary. It was an honor to paint it for him.
