The legendary fighting 14th Brooklyn (14th New York State Militia) also known as "The Red-Legged-Devils" charge toward the unfinished railroad cut west of Gettysburg Pennsylvania to aid in the capture of an entire Confederate Brigade. The 14th Brooklyn was one of only two Union regiments to have the distinction of participating in all three days of the battle.
